OPPQA Work Timeline

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) attended an internal quality assessment, at the institutional level. The Internal Quality Assessment for Academic Year 2020 was avcılar escort arranged on September 17 and 20, 2021, online via Microsoft Teams. This participation was aimed at assessing the institution-leveled internal quality and developing quality improvement in the future.  

Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President-Rector Magnificus, delivered a welcome address to Assumption University Internal Quality Assessment Committee.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Warayuth Sriwarakuel, Vice President for Research and Academic Services and Chair, Internal Quality Assessment Committee, introduced the Au’s Internal Quality Assessment Committee and informed the committee of the objectives and procedures of Internal Quality Assessment.

The Assumption University Internal Quality Assessment Committee for Academic Year 2020 are as follows:

  1. Asst. Prof. Dr. Warayuth Sriwarakuel, Vice President for Research and Academic Services and Chair, IQA committee.
  2. Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Dean, Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics and member, IQA committee.
  3. Dr. Kitikorn Dowpiset, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management, Program Directors, Director, Organization Development Institute and member, IQA committee.
  4. Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanawan Phongsatha, Program Director, Doctor of Philosophy in Teaching and Technology, Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management and member, IQA committee.
  5. Dr. Chayada Thanavisuth, Program Director, Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, Graduate School of Human Science and member, IQA committee.
  6. Mr. Suparwat Charoenvikrom, Assistant Dean for Administration, Vincent Mary School of Science and Technology and secretary, IQA committee.
  7. Dr. Chutamas Sundrarajun, Chairperson, Department of Business English, Theodore Maria School of Arts and assistant secretary, IQA committee.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assess the educational quality at the University level in accordance with the internal quality assurance indicators stipulated by the Office of Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
  2. Follow up the University 's progress and performance in accordance with the University's quality improvement plan.
  3. Give recommendations to the School/University for quality improvement.
  4. Submit the Report of Internal Quality Assessment Result in compliance with the CHE’s QA Online to the University and the Office of Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

Dr. Vindhai Cocracul, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chair, Assumption University Quality Assurance Executive Committee, presented the Assumption University’s 2020 performance.

 

The IQA committee enquired about various topics: 1. Graduate production; 2. Research; 3. academic services; 4. preservation of art and culture; 5. policy, planning and administration; 6. institution's identity; and 7. institution' s uniqueness. AU President-Rector Magnificus, Vice Presidents, Acting Vice President, The University Registrar, Assistant President, all Deans, all Directors and Chairs, The University Uniqueness and Identity Support Committee and Chair, AU Strategic Planning Committee and Chair, AU Risk Management Committee and Chair, and AU Knowledge Management Committee participated and answered the questions to the IQA committee.

Additionally, IQA committee interviewed the representatives of Employer, Alumni, Lecturers, Staffs and Students.

On September 20, 2021, the Internal Quality Assessment Committee presented the results of 2020 Internal Quality Assessment to AU Administrators.

Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President-Rector Magnificus, thanked the IQA Committee and closed the meeting.
The 2020 Internal Quality Assessment results and the Committee’s recommendations would be applied by Administrators, Faculties, and Departments to improve and develop their several functions and operations to increase their quality.
